Catarina

Privacy Policy

Effective 8 October 2026

The short version: Catarina checks code on your own computer. Your code, your chats and your browsing never leave your browser. We have no server, no account system, no analytics and no advertising.

What Catarina reads

On ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, Catarina reads the code blocks on the page so it can check them against a list of known risk patterns. This happens entirely inside your browser. The text is not sent anywhere, and it is not saved after the page is closed.

What Catarina stores

Catarina saves two small values in your browser's local extension storage, only on your device:

These are not shared with us or anyone else. Removing the extension deletes them.

What Catarina sends

Nothing. Catarina makes no network requests. It does not use analytics, tracking, cookies, advertising or remote code, and it does not sell or share data.

Sending feedback

The "Send feedback" link opens a draft email in your own email app, addressed to support@getcatarina.com. Nothing is sent unless you press send. The draft includes only the Catarina version, the build number and the name of the website you were on (for example, gemini.google.com). It never includes the page address, your chat or your code. Please don't add private code, passwords or keys to a message.

If you write to us, we use your message and email address only to reply to you.

Permissions

Children

Catarina does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Limits of what Catarina does

Catarina matches known patterns. A "Clear" result means no known risk pattern matched, not that the code is safe. Please review code before you run it.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
